Just curious if most have used the screws that go into the fiberglass or went with nuts and bolts through the fiberglass?

I used the screws into the body. Holds fine.

I went with through-bolts. I used #10-32 oval heads (which required enlarging the holes in the cap's mounting ring), 'cuz that's the size I've used everywhere else in my car. There is one #10-24 oval head bolt provided with the cap to act as your grounding post (which I replaced with a -32).

I went with the supplied screws. Remember, the entire unit is also held in place by the hose connection to the fill tube to the tank.

10-32 oval head screws and nuts. Even painted the heads black to match the powder coat...:)
