I'm trying to remove the speed sensor wires from the RF harness plugs and not having any luck. My home made pin removal tool is not working. I would appreciate any advice so I can get the wiring wrapped up.
Get the pin removal tool. It makes depinning a 2 second job.

Thanks Papa. That looks like the Molex pin remover I have. Does it work on the rectangular pins in the RF plugs?
All my RF harness plugs were Weatherpak. For other types of connectors, you'll want the small flat pin removal tool like this:

I immediately went to NAPA and bought the tool. Looks perfect, fit in the plug removal slot. Didn't release the pin. Then I tried a dental pick, no joy. I ground down a piece of welding rod. Didn't work. Tried a sewing needle. No luck so I gave up. At least I got a good tool for the future.

Post a pic of the connector. The other thought that I have is that they may come out the front of the connector.

Ron Francis is in Chester, Penn....call them and they have the tools you need. I ordered mine a couple years ago and they work great. I also got spare connectors for the fuse box as I had one arc and destroy itself, which uses a different removal tool.

I don't know how to post a picture but I'll try harder to get the pins out the front. For now the wires are looped up behind the dashboard and zip tied out of sight. I just put the dash in today and finished all the central wiring. As soon as the last section of fuel line is in I think I'll be able to start the engine briefly ( the radiator isn't in yet) and confirm the engine wiring, lack of fuel leaks and Sniper operation. Exciting times for me. Thanks for the input.

I'll get the tools.
