Mark IV Steering rack support

Hello F5 Community.
I could use some support with the steering rack install. I had it installed months ago until tonight when I attempted to install the Breeze Bump Steer kit. Now that I am using his solid aluminum bushings and find that the rack will not go in straight.
After measuring the supportsl, I measure the height difference between the front and back support tabs. (see pic) both of them are off but the PS is off by more than the DS.
When inserting the second bolt the rack needs to twist is more than the solid aluminum bushings can move. The rubber bushings were able to flex.
My guess is that the bolt holes to support the steering rack should be at the exact same height and should also be parallel with the 4” frame which they are not. I measured not only the height of the support tabs but the bolt hole heights.

A-B difference in height .65
C-D difference in height .175
The difference in the PS vs the DS rack height from front to rear is .110.

The pics below show the fact that the bolt holes are not level but the frame is definitely 100% level.

Am I missing something big or maybe I am on the right track?

I found it to be a very tight fit as well. I didn't go through the trouble of measuring it. perhaps take off some of the powdercoating in the holes on both sides to get the bolts lined up better. I found some gentle nudging with a 5lb sledge helped get the bolts in.

Thanks for your reply. I spoke with F5 they said it is okay to open up the holes allowing the bolts to slide through easily. I was afraid to do that due to possible movement of the Steering rack while in motion. I was told it will not be an issue so I took out my round file and all is good!

I didn't get the car on the road yet.. still building, but what I can tell you is the Breeze kit allows you to 100% center the steering rack, moves it forward slightly and lowers it.
From what I have been told by much more knowledgeable people than me that the mod will help with bump steer.
Ill let you know in hopefully three months how she handles.

I was under the impression that the newer style spindles delivered with MK-IV's all but eliminated bump-steer . . . how do you know you have it if you are not on the road yet?

Just an observation from someone that owns a MK-II that DID suffer from bump-steer.

FWIW, the Breeze solid bushings allow you to "center" the rack housing, not the rack shaft.
