Not sure who's seen it, but pretty impressive design.

Not Feeling It, But Interesting Nonetheless!

Looks like someone took the design changes on the Backdraft cars and mashed them with a Mercedes coup. Not liking it, which is why I built my roadster. No need to mess with a classic look in my opinion.

It’s different... that’s all I have to say about that!

As a former owner of two Superformance MkIIIs. I'll add my partial penny.
I get the "R" and like the basics of the front splitter but the side vents not so much. Needs a rear wing to balance the downforce.
I'm anti-bling, don't like chrome, I'm not a bass and not attracted to shiny stuff.

I like one of the comments on the article "like updating the Mona Lisa"... :)

It looks like an SL63 from the side, a Honda Civic Type-R in the front, and a fast and furious Supra from the rear...

Would not buy one, don't like the whole overall concept. One part I do find interesting is the vented hood

I like the colour combo and that is about it. :D Now if someone would like to give me one, I won’t say no but don’t like the splitter, dislike the hood change, those funny things on the side behind the wheels and what are those things out the back?
I know, I know if one cannot day anything good don’t say anything at all. I did say I like the colour combo.

Too bad they didn't make the driver's door fit but I kind of like the color.

Agreed they seemed to have copied some of the recent Backdraft styling cues. I prefer a more traditional look. But I suspect many will like it. Have to chuckle just a little bit though. This is a Factory Five forum, so maybe not expecting a lot of love. No matter what. Wonder how some of the more modern Factory Five builds are received on the Superformance forum(s). Just saying... :o

I never see the point of adding aero parts if they just mimic what it is "suppose" to look like instead of function (Toyota styling in a nutshell). Their splitter just adds drag and the diffuser is a joke. The scalloped wheel vents look nice without the SLS grills.

Regarding Adding Aero & Modern Styling:
I think Mark G's Less Is More Approach for his SEMA car suited my taste a bit better; however, I am very partial to the American Made Factory Five over any foreign car.
In the video below gives a good view of his car.

Very true Paul as many “look down” on FF’s in a lot of forums. I like the SuperFormance cars a lot along with ERA’s and some BD’s but the additional changes to this model are not my cup of tea but like you say, to each their own and I am sure there will be many that like.
I still like the colour combo. ;)

Coming from someone looking at changing the Gen 3 Coupe to better fit what I want, I'm still not a fan of those changes. It seems like it's blending too many discontinuous elements together in the hopes to please a wider group and make it look more modern.

Stole the words right out of my mouth. I don't mind the splitter or even the "hood vent" or whatever you want to call it. But scallops (or whatever you want to call it) behind the front wheels is too much. I think the concept is sound (tweak a classic design so it isn't so much of a brick aerodynamically) just a bit too much for my liking.

Well, they wanted SOMETHING to be like an original.
I'm not a fan. Way too over the top styling for me.
Like the taillights.
I think this is my favorite comment. Maybe it wasn't intended as such, but it answers the question "I don't like this thing but I have to say something positive". I am NOT singling SerpantFL out by any means: this "say something positive" seems to be a recurring theme ;)
That said, I didn't like this rendition either.

The hood vent is in the wrong place. It's venting air out of the area ahead of the radiator. Which, of course, would decrease cooling and does not release the under hood pressure. For it to actually be a benefit, it needs to be behind the radiator, like a Daytona Coupe.

I was wondering what the vent was for, I guess nothing. They should work with Toyota, both think alike

Wow, I thought my running sneakers had too many unnecessary lines that actually made them look ugly.
