Gauge wiring

Does anyone have a photo or diagram of how they wired gauges. I have the standard auto meter gauges supplied with kit. Just wanting to verify before I start cutting the connectors off that do not fit the gauges. Assuming all wires not needed will be left and taped off. Thanks

This is how I did mine. If you have wires that are not used you can use them for the wires you need that are not built into the plug. For instance I used my speedometer wire in place of the clock wire as my speedometer is computer controlled. That way you can simply unplug the connectors to remove the dash. Makes it much nicer. I have not cut any of the unused wires. I'm glad I didn't. As I was working it dawned on me I need wires for power windows,wiper motor,some form of sound system, courtesy lights etc....I had planned for some not others. Just something to think about.

Thanks for the pictures. My wiring harness has the small connectors for the up graded gauges I guess.I will have to cut them off and put correct size connectors. Great looking car, I tried to do my firewall like you did, practiced on the back side of the bottom firewall pieces. Could not get it to look as good as you did. Awesome looking dash also!!
