..ok, what am I missing. Why is there 1) such a gap in the back of the front piece 2) the cutout for the hood attachment so far off? I don't see any other way to place the piece.

Just did that part today myself, same gap. Also, i don't know if you're gonna want to mount these before you put the body on
Edit: My cutout was not that big on the other hand, but the gap between the two parts was pretty big. It get's covered up by the big semi-circular wheel well part (but it's still visible in the nose area)
Edit2: Looking at it comparing it to mine, it does not look right.
