I am trying to plumb a cooler to my 4R70W but am having problems with the fitting on the trans case. I searched and found these...https://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-940006ERL but they won't fit.

So I contacted Bill at Performance Automatic and he gave me this link...https://www.summitracing.com/parts/FRA-481670-BL

This doesn't fit either. It looks like the same exact size as the Earl's fitting. Bill says that's the part, but I get a 1/2 turn in and it jams and scrapes the threads. I cleaned the case fitting but that didn't help. Then I removed the fitting from the case and it looks like it may have fine threads, compared to the Earl's and Fragola fitting threads. Anyone else have this problem?
(And yes, I am using the NPT end, not the AN end).

Contact CJ pony parts. They handle all sorts of Mustang stuff or gotta show.

Thanks. I removed the factory fitting and the fitting I bought fit right into the case.

It would have saved me time, money and frustration if there was some instructional documentation delivered with the trans. :(
