View Full Version : Master Cylinder Questions

As my roadster build drags on, I am beginning to question some of my earlier work. I have the Wilwood big brake option and the kit came with two different size master cylinders, a .725 and a .625. Logic at the time was to use the larger MC to the front because the larger calipers. There were no instructions advising which to use. I have since seen an article saying the the smaller MC should be used for the fronts to develop higher pressure. Which is the right way to go ?

Smaller to the rear, as these are rear weight biased, more braking on the rear is needed.

What Rich said -- when you set up the bias bar, you want the rear to come in ahead of the front with about equal bias half way through the pedal travel and with more front bias coming in under the hardest braking conditions.
