After installing all my lights, I seem to be having an issue and could use some advice. Below is what’s working and what’s not.

Headlights and high-beams – Ok

Front driver side parking light, turning signal and hazard – Ok

Front passenger parking light – Not working
Front passenger turning signal – Works very slowly for 10 seconds then stops
Front passenger hazard – works but is out of sync with front driver side hazard

Rear tail lights and brake lights – OK
Rear turn signals and hazards – Not working

Also, when I turn on the parking lights or headlights the right green indicator on the speedo lights up.

Using the FFR stock lights and switches and the vintage gauges.

Sounds like a bad ground somewhere. unplug and swap the 2 front lights and see what happens. If nothing changes, do the same in the back. If nothing changes, unplug all lights and plug one in at a time until you can isolate the issue.

Your problem sounds quite similar to mine. Current advice I got was regarding diodes. Do you have any installed? Are you using the FFR switch for turn signals or the Russ Thompson switch?

How did you wire the hazard switch? Should be two red wired to center pins and the other two (L/R) wires to the two pins on just one end of the switch. The other end will have no wires connected to it.

After moving things around and rewiring a front parking light....I was able to get all the front lights working perfectly.

However, the rear tail light brake lights will work, but not the rear blinkers. If I switch the 2 plugs on each side around I can get the blinkers to work, but not the brake lights. Any thoughts?

Do a test of the lamps direct from a 12v source without the RF harness in the loop and see id they power correctly. Then check the harness separately to see if it is providing power on the correct wires that you expect. You want to rule out component issues. If both of those tests give you good results, then your connections are the likely culprit.

Have you verified that you have power coming off the TS switch? Check power going IN to the switch, select right or left and verify that you have power coming out.

The rear brake lights are a separate circuit if you have your car wired to be upper as brake with the lower as TS. The tail light(s) / rear license plate and the front marker lights circuit has nothing to do with any of this as it is its own separate circuit (tan wire). Those elements of the bulb are fed by the headlight switch - that being said, they do share a common ground, nothing else.

But, if I wanted upper and lower tail lights to both be on when not braking or using a TS...you would share the tan wire?
