Hi Group,
I am wrapping up my brake lines and will start the fuel lines...
Question - I am using a Ford Racing 302 crate with a mechanical fuel pump.
Why do I run 2 lines forward as is shown in the manual?
Thanks!

I was told that you only have to run a return line if you are using EFI. If using a carb set up it is not needed.

Dave is correct - if you're using a mechanical pump and you don't have a need to return excess pressure, then there is no need to have two lines. I used the single line pick-up from Breeze (forum vendor) and then ran a single stainless 3/8" line from back to front with just a couple of small rubber lines to jump from tank to line, then from line to pump at the engine.

Thanks - it was the third try. The first was with some thin copper tubing as a template and the second was a ruined attempt in stainless. The cool part is that I was able to fish the entire thing into the chassis by going between the 3/4" tubing that forms the trunk floor supports without ruining the final bends.
