Apologies, as this is probably a question that could probably be sorted out quickly with FFR if we weren't dealing with COVID-19 and they are closed up. I have a gen3 coyote and am putting it in a truck/hot rod frame. I am trying to sort out the oil filter relocation, as I have power steering and the stock filter won't fit. The instructions for the gen3 coyote (beta instructions) say I will need a MMR 403335 – 5.0 Coyote Oil filter relocator kit, which I have now but the section that mounts to the engine block doesn't seem to match up with the block where the filter screws on. The instruction manual shows a piece that seems to thread on to the nipple where the oil filter attaches to the block, but the kit comes with something that seems to bolt up to the block. It seems like I need to source the part that threads on to the block where the filter threads on, but I dont have a part number. Any suggestions? I keep reading in the forums that the coyote fitment kit comes with the relocation parts, but I dont see anything. Am I missing something?s. The first pic is the block where I am supposed to connect the oil filter relocation kit. The second pic is the parts that came with the kit that was recommended by FFR in the installation instructions. The part right in the middle of the second pic (the triangular part with the big silver outlet (for coolant?) doesn't bolt up to my engine block.

Keeping in mind I have zero experience or knowledge of this subject, other than reading your post, looking at pictures, and reviewing Factory Five's instructions, something doesn't seem right. MMR's picture of their #403335 shows a different piece that attaches to the engine. http://www.modularmotorsportsracing.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=903. They describe removing the entire oil filter adapter from the block, including where the oil pressure sensors attach, and replacing with their piece. Not just removing the filter itself. Factory Five's instructions also say "attach the adapter to the engine block." The one in the MMR listing looks like it would fit that way. The one in your pictures doesn't. No idea about the large fitting on the adapter you have.

The adapter you are showing is for the 4.6 motor. You got the wrong one

Yep. Looks like gen3 is same as gen2. You have the wrong one.
That whole adapter needs to unbolt and come off your block. Then the mmr adapter bolts onto your block (once you have the right one). The mmr adapter has two points where you can get oil pressure. One on the adapter and one on the oil filter block. Hope this helps!

I've got a Gen 2 Coyote in the Gen 1 Hot Rod, and the oil filter relocation kit from FFR looks very different to me. The engine adapter came separately from the relocation kit and had the correct M22 x 1.5 threads to screw on to the oil filter nipple.

The problem I had was that the threads on the filter head unit were 3/4-16, so the stock oil filter would not fit. Dave B from FFR turned me on to Wix filters. The nice thing is that Wix has their entire product line stored in a searchable database and easy navigation tools so you can easily find a filter. https://www.wixfilters.com/Lookup/FilterBySize.aspx Once you select what kind of filter you want (lube, cabin air, etc.), and the filter type (spin on), you can select the thread size. That takes you to a list of all filters they make with dimensions and features - and the list is sortable. You can see what's available sorted by OD, length, gasket dimensions, etc.

You're using a universal block adapter. That piece is also thin cast aluminum, and has been known to crack in hard use. I'm also not a fan of rubber hoses and hose clamps on the oiling system. The filter mount is designed to fit pretty much any SBF filter - I prefer the FL-1A, but the Purolator Pro-1 is also a good choice.
Most people use a relocator because there's not enough room for oil filter. The piece show above is a billet aluminum part designed to replace the entire factory block fitting; giving you even more space. Personally, I prefer it this way; Fewer components, less clutter, fewer failure points.

Wow, lots going on in this thread.
Sit tight, get the right adaptor from FFR, IT will be fine. it fits, has nice premade AN hoses that are not rubber and will work Great. I just did one. (actually the pickup is still here as the body is at the body shop)
No one seems to have mentioned it but make sure you put the hoses on properly, following the flow arrows on the block that attached to the motor and the oil filter adapter, it is critically important.
Feel free to PM me directly if you have other questions, Happy to help if I can.
BE safe .

I have a Gen 1 Coyote and I found a Ford adaptor that allowed the filter to be swiveled around as needed. It was a discontinued item by Ford that I found at a dealer in Houston. I was looking a the Forte website a couple of days ago and saw that he has it available. I used a Cadillac oil filter, the Wix no. is 51335. I'm not certain that it will fit your engine version but Forte should know. The Cadillac filter is much shorter and I inverted the filter position. I can change it without removing the side covers of the car. I think it is much safer than a remote mount filter.
