These are my latest pictures, the one shows the closeness of the lower shock mount to the wheel rim. I guess a 1/4 inch is as good as an inch.

Are you concerned that's not enough clearance?

My thinking is that I will probably use my grinder sparingly to increase the distance, but neither the wheel or the suspension should move so close tolerances should be okay. I thought those with more experience might weigh in.

I have a Mustang with the same clearance. It's never been an issue at all.
