bil1024,
There doesn’t seem to be any one particular Right Way to actually attach/secure the A/C Dryer into the foot box, other than get it in their good and tight (high up and forward), but have clearances and good access of the 4 IN/OUT ports for their future hoses and also the 2 drain ports.

One can either mount the A/C Dryer using the pre-inserted 4 case-nuts of the Dryer’s case or by fabricating brackets to then attach to newly drilled holes on the case, located as you prefer on the case and use screws or bolts to secure. Either way will work, but you’ve got to ultimately pick one.

I examined the situation in my Gen 3 Coupe, with the A/C Dryer propped up on a solid plastic crate, positioning it into relative position and then reorienting it all which way to get everything positioned optimally: high up and as far forward in the foot box as possible, all the while making sure that the attachment Outlets/Inlet ports were free and clear for the hoses that need to be plumbed to them. Also making sure that the temperature sensor wire on the outside upper corner didn’t hit the chassis, etc.

I determined there was a way and decided to use the pre-inserted 4 case-nuts and fabricate brackets that would be attached to each of the case-nuts and then to points on the chassis, where Rivnuts would be inserted.

Here’s a few photos showing what I did. The fabricated brackets were of aluminum and before their final attachment, I painted them chassis satin-black.

I hope that this helps and describes one way of attachment.

I assume you are talking about the dryer canister? Here's where I mounted mine (pardon the dust):

126315
126321

A couple of things to note:

1. You'll notice mine is chromed out. I'd love to say this is because I wanted something that looked better, but this is a replacement from Vintage Air after I ruined my FFR one by opening it up and letting air in before the system was charged. Besides being slightly easier on the eyes (if you like chrome) it is slightly taller, which does limit the mounting location a bit over the stock one.
2. Make sure you have your wheel well aluminum test-fit in place before you finalize the location. I'd love to say I precisely fit mine a few millimeters behind the wheel well aluminum, but it was only by sheer chance and luck.

At some point (when I have nothing better to do), I'll probably make a better mount. The one supplied from FFR is completely functional, but a bit wonky looking if you ask me.
