Vinyl Dash Steering Wheel Butt

What is everyone doing on the Vinyl dash in order to get the steering wheel butt to fit? Should I drill it out large?

If you are referring to the steering column going through the plastic vinyl covered dash, here is what I did,
I outlined the area to be cut out. I used a box cutter to to cut the vinyl. Then I used a rotary file, burr cutter in an air grinder and ground the plastic out to the cut line.
