Hey guys, did a quick forum search and didn't really see much. Has anyone converted over to a clear headlight lens and liked them? Any specific company that you like in particular? I'm not looking for halo, projector or anything like that. Just a super simple classy looking clear headlight pair.
Thanks!
Mine aren't clear, but fit the car's heritage well:

Hello friends:
I must be missing something here. Just for my own education, if the headlight lenses are not clear, what do I have? Mine are traditional HALO halogen headlamps shipped with the kit (2004). They look clear to me, but they don't have the "Y" inside them like you can almost see in the above photo.
Is there a new standard?

I'm with you on this Eddie, my MK-II headlights are clear without the "Y" in them (I think those are referred to as "Tri-Bar"), supplied that way from F5 back in 2002 - halogen. They look like any other Hi-Lo headlight from back in the '60's . . . before they went to dual headlights of a smaller size.

Do you mean something like this?

These are also Lucas replicas. There are some very clear looking (smooth front lens) ones on ebay, etc. Personally, I don't like them. I have Lucas PL700 like Papa shows.

I think what the OP was asking for are lenses that don't have the ridges to shape the beam. More like at KC light I'm guessing, where the ribs (or whatever you call them) are in the reflector rather than the lens.

Yes, I see why there was confusion. By clear, I meant no ridges in the front lens. I've seen it on the F5R Challenge car or the USRRC car. I can't remember where I saw the promo picture. I believe that one had projectors with a line going horizontally through the middle, but I was just looking for a clear lens.
Thanks for all of your help gents!

I went with these United Pacific 31391 LED headlights. The front lens does not have ridges, but it has an old school reflector look on the inside.

Just be careful and do your research. There is more to lighting than you would think. There is a LOT of junk out there.

That’s why I asked the group! I’m sure someone on here has switched over to what I’m potentially looking for.

I believe you’re looking for the headlamps that FFR has used on some of their cars.
Lumen SB 7823XX-BLK I believe is what you’re looking for. The bar in the center can be used as a turn signal or DRL.
