I'm using a LS3 connect and cruise package with a 4L75E transmission. I'm wondering about this small metal tube on the top of the trans, what is it and does anything need to connect to it? 125951

Looks like a vent tube.

Vent tube for 4-wheel drive vehicles that went to a hose higher up on the chassis.

Yes, vent tube. I attached a piece of silicon hose to it and ran it down to the bottom of the chassis.

On the 700R4, it is a vacuum connection to the manifold or at base of carburetor. Not familiar with 4L75E
