Now that I've got my hood on, it's interesting to see how exposed the radiator is below the front lip. Seems like a great place for a rock, stick or other piece of road debris to cause some damage.
I'm probably overthinking as usual, but has anyone ever experienced any radiator damage from road debris? Seems like it would be easy enough to fashion a small angled piece of aluminum sheet that would protect the bottom of the radiator without limiting airflow and still allowing the hood to open— a little bit like a front skid plate. Feels like a pretty cheap insurance policy against potential damage. Of course you still have the oval opening in the front lip of the hood, but seems less likely for bouncing things to make that "hole-in-one".
Thoughts?
