not sure if anybody elese has this problem but i tend to lean on cowl when working on car mine seems very weak and was hard to get nose to close without pushing it down
i decided to make a couple brackets to stiffen mine up ,has anybody elese had this issue?

This is really great. I agree that the overhang here really results in a very flimsy area that needs to be stiffened. Was just thinking the other day that it needed a fix, but hadn't put much thought into how I was going to do it. Thanks for the idea!

There are other coupe build threads that detail brackets for the cowl. I agree that it could be more sturdy, but it doesn't seem to affect the fit or function of mine.

You'll be surprised how much that area stiffens once the windshield is installed. If you have to move it to get the hood closed make sure you have the hood closed when you glue in the windshield. Didn't experience anything like that with mine.
I remember Mike Everson did something similar on one he built. Brace doesn't hurt anything, but wouldn't panic without something there or recommend leaning on it with or without a brace.
