My ongoing build is a 2010 MK4 with a 8.8 rear & old IRS. Original kit came with driveshaft that was set for a 427FBB. To save a couple bucks as new drive shafts are north of $350 or higher I am just having the 3" shaft "re-tubed" & balance and use the original 31spl yoke and mount. New shaft will be 10" center to center on the yoke mount holes. I figure that the driveshaft has been sitting for 10 years maybe good idea to replace U Joints while it's apart.
I'm realizing the u-joint is a conversion and appears to be 1310 to 1350 (spicer numbers). Anyone have the spec for this part?

Does this help? These guys do nice work BTW. Used them a couple times.

The U-Joints I pulled from the FFR shaft are a conversion joint. Different lengths in x and y axis. One length is 3.625" and other is 3.218". I've found some but wanted to cast the net to see if anyone had the spec or why FFR is/was using these?

Why change new joints?
Agreed. They don’t have an expiration date.

Just take the joint to Napa and they can measure it for a part number

You can pull the caps off if you'd like and inspect for any rust. If there is rust, or surface pitting on the journal trunnions, I'd replace it. If not, put it back together and grease it until you get grease from all 4 bearing cups. I've worked for Dana for 12 years and that's been our message for inquiries just like this.

Thanks! I inspected the U-Joints and all seems fine. They are non-greaseable so nothing to do there. I'll just install these as they have never seen use and go from there if needed. For documentation I found that these are 1310 to 1330 conversion (spicer numbers). All caps 1.063. Length A is 3.625, Length B 3.219
