I'm ready to install the driver's side footbox inside panel but it doesn't fit. The rear flange of the footbox panel is too long where it attaches to the A shaped panel at the front of the transmission tunnel. Everything else fits and is all Clecoed together. Has anyone else had a problem like this? All the other panels fit beautifully and it's hard to believe that Factory Five made a mistake. It's easy to think I made a mistake but I don't know what it could be because all the other footbox pieces fit. I can cut the excess flange off and the flange will fit fine but I hesitate to cut anything when replacements may be a couple months away. Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, a picture of the problem would be very helpful.

I just went through this on a recent build. I have never had to cut that panel on over 100 builds until recently. Go ahead and cut it. That's what I did.

sometimes if you don't have things overlapping in the correct order as they arrived, things will be off just a tad. I also found that the addition of silicone to the panel junctions prior to riveting would throw things off just a bit even though they clecoed together just fine moments ago. i'll try to get some pics of mine later today when i get a chance to get out to the garage.

Yep, same here. I have S/N 9749 and had to trim the rear flange a bit. I t was kind of a taper fit. Narrow at the top, wider at the bottom. No big deal. Fits perfect now.
Cheers!

Yes, the rear edge is too long to mate up with the A frame piece. It will be easy to trim. It is reassuring that others have had the same issue and it's not just a mistake I made. Thanks .
I had to trim mine as well.
