I am finally ready for first start, but I don't have a tune for all my upgrades. Does anyone have any experience with using an e-tuner? I am just looking to get a "break-in" tune. I'm having trouble getting my local shops to respond right now.
Any advise or recommendations?

See if you can get in touch with Calvin at Dotson Tuning. He is pretty well known across the US and based in the DFW area.
What kind of upgrades do you have? I'm assuming an OTS tune wouldn't get you in the ballpark?

Why won't the OTS tune work? As long as you scale the injectors to a close enough value, you should be able to get the engine running and driving. Just keep the boost down. By the way, what are you using to reflash, Cobb or Tactrix?
I'm in the same spot as you, very similar list of engine mods and still breaking in the new motor. I used a Tactrix cable to scale the injectors and have put about 150 miles on the car last season.
Edit: I should also mention I'm considering E-tuning as well but MachV is right down the street so I may get an actual dyno tune. This is the place I was looking at for E-tuning:

StiPWRD is right, if you scale the injectors it will idle and should be somewhat drive-able for a break-in.
I went the Cobb route, started with an 03 WRX, upgraded to 2.5L, STi cams, 16G turbo, 850cc injectors, etc.. I scaled the injectors, scaled the MAF for the aftermarket intake, and I was able to get it to start and idle without any issue. The throttle enrichment (Tip-In) need some work, because of the increase in displacement, but I'm just in the engine break-in period. If you have a Cobb AP, I'm sure you know, but you do have to take their tuning basics course to the get the software to make custom tunes, if that's your cup of tea, it's a good learning experience, as Subaru does things a little different from what I've been exposed to.
Now, I would never run under boost on my tune until I get my wide band working, but I have done a few heat cycles on the engine with it.

I did an E tune with “drunkman tuning” he’s one of the greats in the subi community and it got me really straight! He will be doing a full tune on the car in time

Thanks for the help guys! I would love to get into tuning and making adjustments to off the shelf tunes myself, but right now I just want to focus on getting started and to a place that I can drive.
I think I'm going to just contact the guys you suggested and try to set up a e-tune rather than try it myself. Then once this covid-19 blows over, I'll go in for a full tune.

Once you get ready to learn some more tuning. I think the HP Academy is a good tool. It'll definitely get you pointed in the right direction and give you lots of quality information about tuning. I'd subscribe to their newsletter and wait for some of their packages to go on sale. Plus the RomRaider forums seem to have lots of good information for Subaru tuning specific items.

Nice! I just checked it out. For sure something I will look into more in the future. Thanks for all the help!

Just to close the loop on this, I went with Drunkmann Tuning to get a break-in tune.
Anthony has been awesome to work with so far. Recommend giving him a call if you need any tuning help.
