Hi Everyone

So this is my second build. During the first build, AC Auto Kit, 427 Cobra, I painted my small metal pieces. One of the improvement items i wanted to do was powder coat.

So , i really like to do as much as possible on my kits. So i wanted to powder coat the small pieces myself.

So i went to Eastwood and waited for some specials to come along.

I bought their oven, guns and powder. I am so happy with the results so far.

I know that you are gonna laugh at my paint booth lololol. But did it ever work and contain the powder.

Here are some pics.

Looks pretty much like my setup! Now you just need to add a media blasting cabinet to really prep those parts. Also, if you haven't discovered it already, pre-heating the parts before applying powered really helps get a nice thick finish.

I have been looking at powder coating.

Your paint booth picture is going to make me do some additional planning. :)

Your parts look good.

I like to PC parts. It's a lot faster than painting. And you can get some unique finishes.

I use a standard kitchen oven that I bought used for $50.
