I’m about to get Lund Racing to send me a tune for a new Coyote install. They want to know where the pcm is getting the oss reading. I went back through the directions and see nothing about it. Did I miss something? I’ve driven the car and it runs great except when starting out in 1st and giving slight gas it wants to buck. Start out in 2nd and it’s fine. Any suggestions?

Don't recognize "oss" as an acronym. Any chance they mean O2? That would be the oxygen sensor you should have on each side in the exhaust. I assume you have the Ford Performance control pack? Knowing that, along with all the other parameters of your build, they shouldn't have any trouble setting up your tune. I've used them three times, and as lately as earlier this week on the Gen 3 in my new Coupe build. Turned out great. Looks like you have a Gen 2. I have one in my Roadster that they did the tune on. I think you'll find the driveability is much improved including the launch issue you're having now. Big difference with the custom tune.

Its probably the intake maf curve needing tweaks. We can tune it but we need to know the following

What control pack and PCM ?
What fuel ?
What return fuel system and what pumps?
What injectors, throttle body ?
Do you have a device for tune loading?
What are you doing to get a OSS reading the PCM for the speedo readout ?
I’ll call them on Monday . It is a Gen2. I thought maybe I was missing something. Thanks Edwardb

OK. Speed sensor. In the transmission. Didn't think of that. If you have the Ford Performance crate motor control pack, there's no provision for feeding it the speed sensor data. Plus if you're using a GPS speedo like most of us are these days, you maybe don't even have the speed sensor connected. They go with RPM's they see in the log data. I've done two tunes with them on the Gen 2 with the crate control pack and know of a bunch of others. Assuming you have the same thing, they either don't understand what you have or need to talk with someone who's more experienced. My most recent tune for my Coupe I worked with Jon Lund Jr. on my Gen 3.

The rest of the questions are straightforward. They typically ask a bunch more, like transmission, rear end ratio, tire diameter, intake, any modifications, etc.
