I have a BPE SBF 347 and I did not install a heater in my Mk IV so I need to block off the heater port on the water pump. I could just use a short piece of heater hose with a bolt inserted in the end but I was hoping for something a bit more professional looking. Are there any 3rd party vendors that sell a hose cap? Or does the hose barb unthread and then I replace it with a brass plug? Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Apparently this is what Ford used for heater delete cars. https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-cap-f3ly8a500a
I haven't used one myself. It may require removal of the nipple from looking at the picture.
No heater in Maryland? I have one in Florida and use it a lot.
I just found this. This looks promising.

Mark at breeze sells this if you want to keep the coolant flowing past the sensor. https://www.breezeautomotive.com/ect-sensor-elbow/

Knock out the nipple and tap it for a 1/2 NPT pipe plug.

I went without the heater. Although I will be installing heated seats. I like the HSP cap and just ordered same.
Thanks!

I used the Breeze product that keeps the coolant flowing past the sensor. Another FFR member blocked off the connection and his engine overheated. It was fixed when he installed the Breeze elbow and hose connection.

Anyone have a picture of the breeze part above installed. I'm not understanding what it is doing.
Thanks

I’ve removed the nipples and installed a freeze plug or tapped for a pipe plug. It won’t cause overheating.

Sorry - no picture because I put a heater in after about 1 year on the road. The fitting goes on the manifold where the heater connection would go, and the hose goes on the water pump on the nipple described above. The connection keeps water flowing past the temperature sensor on the manifold by the thermostat instead of it being a dead zone.
I had the same situation and got great advice from the forum in this thread: https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?26244-What-to-do-with-the-heater-hose-fitting-on-the-water-pump&highlight=heater
Check out post #17 for the Gates hose. It is a great solution.

It has the perfect bends (only a portion is used) to use as a bypass.

You might also need one of these from Breeze:

I was in the same situation. I called Mark at Breeze about a month ago and he told me he stopped making that ECT sensor elbow. I also wanted to connect the heater port on the water pump to the manifold and wanted to use the same spot on the manifold for my water temp sensor. So I bought a "street tee" https://www.amazon.com/Eaton-Weatherhead-Brass-CA360-Street/dp/B018E9NLHW and used that along with a couple reducers and the Gates hose that Papa mentioned to make it all fit. I haven't made it to a first start yet, so can't guarantee that it will work...
