Stick with the factory FORD units, generics don't hold up near as long or work as smoothly.

I got the twofer. One is on the car and the other is coiled up in the trunk.

I agree. buy the ford one. my kit supplied one never snapped, but did stretch. I replaced it with a ford performance cable, so much smoother and less effort
