After 60 days of waiting for some irresponsible person to inspect my MkIV, I finally got a VIN today.
I slipped off with a paper tag on it yesterday to bed the brakes.
Today I was going over the car to check for leaks or loose items. I touched the flexible rubber hose to the fuel rail and a small spray of gasoline came out of the snap on quick disconnect.
After removal, inspection, replacement with the same model, it would still leak if the line was moved out of line.
This is the type I was using.

I dug through the left over stuff from the Coyote installation kit and found a hard plastic line with this fitting
I removed the line and installed, tested and found no leaks.

Hopefully no one else is using the quick disconnect, I had issues with.

Good time to find it. Glad you got your leak taken care of.
Congrats on being street legal!
That is the same fitting that gave me "fits". While you found yours (presumably) in the garage, I found my leak on the street...
David (Ducky2009) had the replacement part number. Must be something about that specific part...

I put about 30 miles on the roadster today. No big issues! Looks like the seat sliders might have to go, or maybe I can remove some spacers on the front of the mount. My knee hits under the dash, when going from gas pedal to brake. Not something you want to happen when things get urgent.
I put a sample tune in from Lund. It was a guess from the info I provided. Idle is too high, about 1200 rpm, engine is very ragged in light throttle cruising. Tip in is softer than the Ford base tune. Acceleration is smooth, but a little soft.
Data logging soon.
Kleiner keep me on the list.
One other thing, power steering is nice. edwardb convinced me to add it way back.
You would have to be young and dumb to not have it and I am not young.
Thanks again edwardb for the sage advise.

Cool. Good to hear you like the power steering. It's a great add to these cars. If you're just running the base tune from Lund without logging and adjustments, it will only get better. They will keep doing it until you like it. They just finished up my new Coupe build earlier this week. Difference is night and day. Now I just need to be able to drive it... How did you get so lucky?

Fortunately, Spring is here in the South. It was uncomfortably hot sitting at red lights yesterday, too much sun.
Today is nicer, about 68-70*.

Nice. Spring is just arriving in Michigan, with a few driving days already and the forecast shows more ahead. But we're locked down. That's really what I was referring to. Unless I use mine for groceries or a medical emergency, not supposed to be driving.

Glad the problem was solved, A fuel leak could be disastrous..
Just to be additionally safe, I might suggest using the proper fuel injection hose clamps, rather than the standard type hose clamp. (Likewise with the hose itself, if it is not the type made specifically for fuel injection.)

We are still able to travel freely, utilize drive through food vendors, etc, just no sit down venues.
I think the golf courses are free to open beginning today at 5 PM. No carts, or indoor activity.
I am on the board of a Skeet & Trap club. We have the opportunity to open tomorrow, but still weighing all the details.
A C Bill, thanks for the advice. I bought the best hose for pressure and all fuels and still be black flexible.
I will have to do some research on those clamps. I have the worm drive clamps on the all the similar attachments.
I just remembered how difficult it was to remove the quick disconnect. The barbs would not release the hose without a thin blade slid in between the hose and barbs.
Still listening to your advice though. Not an area where you want to take chances.

Well, I looked up the F I hose clamps. I think I have some of those and maybe some from F5. Will definitely address it.
