Just wanted to thank Gordon Levy for his advise when selecting a new transmission. Mine blew up late June and the clutch disc was damaged also (sprung hub busted).
I went with a Levy Racing SD T5 with hardened alloy gears. The new 5th gear is 0.73 vs. my original 0.79. This dropped the highway RPM's a few hundred but it still pulls really well w/o needing to down shift.
The new first is the 2.95 vs. my original 3.97. First gear is very usable now and the trans is well matched to the 3.55 rear gears.
The new clutch disc is a RAM 9000 with sintered bronze friction pucks. Feels great and is suprisingly easier to drive than the Zoom Kevlar that was damaged.
Everything works very well and I couldn't be any happier with the improvements. Talking to Gordon during this process was like calling a friend rather than some sales person.
Thank you. Eric
