I blew apart my front suspension to refinish it with new paint or powdercoat. I found the upper ball joint boots were in terrible shape. I now remember that the joints came it small black boots installed on them and that the manual said to install the ffr supplied blue boots prior to mating them to the spindles. That means I actually had two boots on each joint. I think that's wrong. So, I guess I can go find new boots but the question is, which boots do I use? The blue ones or the smaller black ones or both. Thanks

Here are the numbers for the ball joint boots:

Upper
Energy Suspension 5.13102G

Lower
Energy Suspension 9-13130G

These numbers can be cross-referenced with AutoZone or other auto parts units . . .

x2 on the energy suspention. I bought a partial build from 2010 MK4 last year and all the boots were rotted on the U/LCA. Also replaced the tie rod boots on the steering rack with energy suspention parts.
