Like I said please pray for this country and my home state of Utah that's now dealing with a large earthquake on top of everything. Thanks everyone for their help and I guess working on my project will at least help keep my mind off things.

I was wondering if anyone could help me with start power wires on a Gen 3 Coyote. As shown in the pictures I have the Coil/EFI/Crank blue and Orange wires. The Gen 3 instructions sate to attach the blue starter wire to the blue EFI wire in the harness. Is this the wire that goes directly to the starter? It then says attach the light green ignition trigger wire to the orange EFI wire in he harness. Where do i find the green ignition wire. I'm so bad at this wiring stuff and so confused.

The Factory Five Coyote installation instructions are OK. But I always recommend having both the Factory Five instructions and the Ford Performance control pack instructions here: https://performanceparts.ford.com/download/instructionsheets/FORDINSTSHTM-6017-M50B.PDF. IMO, it helps to cross-reference between the two. The Factory Five instructions give the steps with pictures. But not always with much explanation. The Ford instructions give many more details.

One of the challenges is to make sure you're differentiating between the Ron Francis harness wires and the Coyote control pack wires. Here are the ones you're asking about:

RF Orange EFI or Coil wire connect to Coyote Light Green Ignition Relay Trigger wire
RF Blue EFI Crank wire connect to Coyote Light Blue Starter Motor Request (SMR) wire
There is a second RF blue starter wire that goes over to the RF clutch safety switch and then out to the small post on the starter. None of this is used on the Coyote installation. You can tie if off, making sure no bare ends are exposed. Or remove it completely. The Coyote control pack harness has its own clutch safety switch. The Coyote control pack harness also has its own starter wire to the small terminal on the starter. It comes out of the Coyote harness out by the PCM connections.

Maybe seems a little confusing but once you're all done hopefully you'll see it really isn't. Good luck.

Thanks edwardb I really appreciate your help, again. I’m glad I asked because I would’ve never figured that out.
