I have all these questions and Ideas for my build when it is completed in April. I see the FFR Speedo is GPS, I know my old 75 mustang was a mechanical.
The question is does the FFR Speedo have an additional wire or way to pick up the speed or mileage?
Thanks

If you're asking whether it has a second source for speed, the answer is no. As long as the GPS satellites are working and you have it wired properly, you shouldn't have any problems. Should you need a second source for speed, I downloaded a nice speedo app for my phone. It matches the GPS speedo perfectly (same info source, go figure).

As Scott said, the source for the Speedhut GPS speedo is 100% from the GPS satellites. It does have an antenna that you need to place. Works just fine under the fiberglass body. Many of us put it here (picture below) on the RH windshield mount. The antenna has a magnetic base, so it sticks there perfectly. You'll also find the GPS speedo has a single wire that's recommended to put on an "always on" battery source. Draws extremely low current, so no worries. Causes the GPS system to remember its last location, and therefore initializes very quickly at startup. Mine is usually on-line while backing out of the garage. I've driven my Roadster with the GPS speedo three seasons now. It blanked for a few seconds once when driving on a heavy tree lined highway. Been good otherwise.
Your 75 Mustang was nearing the end of the mechanical speedos. Several years later Ford went to transmission speed sensors that were no longer mechanical. That technology is still available on Tremec transmissions and was used on these builds until the GPS versions came out.
