What are your thoughts on this rear end and under carriage? Rear end cover bolts are rusted and a small leak. Make just a recent fluid change. On either side of the pumpkin, there is rust on the tubes going out.

The black oxide bolts that come with those covers will rust in humid climates. I just removed a similar cover and went back to a steel one because it was hitting my battery box. This style of cover is prone to weeping from the bolts that hold the girdle. Mine was doing it, too and had very little use at all before I swapped it back out. The rust on the tubes is likely a result of improper prep before painting and easily fixed.

5 year of daily driving, AutoX & Trackdays over 12,000 miles. Cover has not been touched since it was put on. Will change oil & clean it as part of my current winter project. Axel tubes & pumpkin have no rust.
