I cannot seem to find much information on Ghost Tunes for the Coyote.
There are a few YouTube videos that sound amazing.
Anybody on the forum have any experience?
The Coyote is a wonderful powerplant but it would be cool if you could actually flip a switch and make it chatter at idle like an old school engine.
Thanks,
Scott

Not aware of any setups that allow you to "flip a switch." They're a separate tune that needs to be loaded into the PCM through the ODB2 port. Takes a couple minutes. Most tuners offer them. At least that's my understanding. Been around a couple at some cruise-ins on Mustangs. Personally, after the idle rattle and shaking my SBF builds had with the cams I used, I enjoy the more civilized Coyote idle. Guess my age is showing on that one. :o

So, I have talked to two different tuners and they both talked me out of a Ghost Tune. They both said that locking the phasing of the variable cam tuning will dump too much fuel at low rpms and will ultimately carbon the upper cylinder and valves. So, it looks like I will just enjoy the carefree horsepower and the subtleness of my Lexus powerplant.
I guess there are bigger issues in this world to worry about...

Sorry for the not so good video but i just shot a quick one for you.

Now i am a big fan of Lund Racing since they know their stuff. I had them on my 2011 and on my 2015. I also had their Ghost Cam tune. On the 11 was for fun here and there but on the 15 I had it on the entire time for almost 10k miles. 2k of them were when I moved and drove it from Chicago to Scottsdale and i never had an issue.
I needed to tune the coupe anyways so I went with Lund once again for their great quality and reliability and had them add the Ghost Cam to it.
I am currently 36 years old so I'm still at that "The louder the pipes, the bigger the chubby" stage.
My setup is loud being straight pipes but when you add the Ghost Tune it gets a lot louder
They video does no justice on sound.

Now I know a there are a ton of vendors that do Ghost Cam tunes and I'm sure a lot of them don't know squat for tuning but you can never go wrong with Lund. They are the only one that i would personally recommend for a great tune and for a reliable Ghost Cam if you wanted that.
Yes the Ghost Cam tune does eat a lot of gas but that's only at idel under 1k RPM and back to normal while driving.

I had briefly looked into a ghost tune and ruled it out for the reasons mentioned above. One additional issue to be aware of that hasn't been mentioned yet is that you can't run a ghost tune if you have catalytic converters, as the extra unburned fuel will destroy them in short order.

Fortunately, those are not required in Texas...yet.

I hear ya. They're not required in CA yet either, but I'm adding them anyway. Purely personal preference.

Go to their webpage. They have a "contact us" email address. My experience through two plus tuning exercises is they are very responsive. Back and forth with them just this morning on a custom tune for my Gen 3 Coyote.
