I put this on the cobra a few years ago and let it selftune and it ran fine. I have not been driving it as much as I should recently but have noticed on startup it is running pretty rich. When I do run it I run it for at least a half hour and I drive it to get everything hot. So it is not just loaded up. Yesterday I took it out and it was sputtering some when cold but even after warmup it ran like crap. I barely made it back home and it just stalled out in the driveway. Pulled in the garage and pulled a few plugs and they are black. Pulled the O2 sensor and it was soot covered. Could it have gone bad or just need a cleaning? I have not had a ton of time to work on it. Just want to get it back running correctly.

I had a similar experience last fall. The first time I had issues the handheld monitor was indicating an AFR of 15.9 or 16.0 and stayed there Changed the O2 sensor. It ran better but after 100 or so miles went back to sputtering, stalling, super rich, with erratic AFR readings. Called FAST, and of course it couldn't be anything with their ecu. They blamed my ignition. Removed the FAST system and replaced it with a Holley Ultra from AED. Night and day difference. Crisp throttle response, much improved driveability. Very pleased. And no, I did not touch the ignition except for a fresh set of plugs. Also changed the oil because of the FAST ECU dumping so much excess fuel.

Kind of my fear is this system is crap. Reading up on it not many have had long term reliability. If I was going to keep the car I'd junk it but I really need to sell it. I do have the Holley HP that came on it. May be switching back to that.

We had issues with the FAST EZ efi 2.0 and eventually replaced it with the Sportsman. The FAST Sportsman allows you you to input your own tune, unlike the EZ 2.0. The reason we stayed with FAST was that both the EZ 2.0 and the Sortsman use the same wiring harness. I am pleased with the manual tune we have in the Sportsman and know NEVER to put it in "self-learn" mode.

You are correct, the EZ 2 is junk, try talking Fast into giving you the Sportsman. It's a direct computer swap, no wire change. I spent a ton of $$$$ trying to tune an EZ2, after some serious complaining they upgraded me for free. A world of difference.

I think the only "learning" my FAST XFI Street system was capable of was adding more fuel. At one point, it used a gallon of fuel in four miles. Swapped it out for a Holley Sniper and, although not perfect, is much better. Still needs some tweaks, but nothing that causes the car to be un-drivable. I'm happy with it for now, but eventually want to do a stack injection and looking at the Borla setup.

I have also heard the Sportsman is the way to go. I'll look into this.
