The "Type 65 Coupe" always struck me as a car that needed to be a full production run. I'm fooling around with nameplate scripts to 3D print out. Anyone else play with this?

Some work in progress...

I have a 36" vinyl cutter for graphics so I'm always playing with scripts and trying new layout. 1001freefonts.com had been a good place to find fonts to test and download

I have edited both the title as well as the post to remove a copyright protected term. It's much too long to fully re-tell the whole story here but if you want the detail send me a PM.

Thanks,

Ray

I slightly modified the traditional stickers and then had then but and polished. This is not a cheap process for small numbers. Plastic would be more affordable for sure, but they require a minimum of 50-100. I plan on a nameplate on each side of the hood and one on the dash.

If you generate an .stl file you can 3D print them out using shapeways or a similar service. They can do metal also. If you have a digital file like dxf or obj the conversion is straightforward depending on your design software. I can help with the conversion if you want.

Russ Thompson did a limited run of those badges when he built a coupe years ago. IIRC, they were billet aluminum, water jetted and polished.

Might try to see what insight he could share with you.

Anyone know any history to the "D****a" sticker or other badging. I don't see it on the original six cars.
