I recently placed an order for a heater and defroster kit for my Mk IV from Finish Line Accessories. I quickly got an email that my order (and money) was received but I never received a shipping notice. My emails and follow up phone calls were never returned and now the voice box is full. Usually not a good sign. Anybody else having the same issues?

Thanks

If you are not happy with the service then consider contacting your credit card issuer and charge the item(s) back assuming you used a credit card.

I've always gotten everything that I ordered from them. Just takes time.

This is unfortunately how they roll these days. I’ve ordered a few times, radio silence for a few weeks but eventually get the shipping notice and the parts arrive. I just ordered a shifter and took about 2 weeks. Go in eyes wide open for parts you can’t get elsewhere and you will get them eventually. Expect normal customer service and you will be very disappointed.

This has been my experience as well. I've ordered from them 2-3 times. They're not the greatest at communication, but I've always received my parts within a couple of weeks. Sometimes there's no shipping notice... stuff just unexpectedly shows up at my doorstep.

Isn't it amazing how so many people do business. The difference between a wildly successful business and a barely surviving business is just good communication. His product is obviously good, but eventually someone will come along that offers similar and he'll be SOL. Maybe someone should make him an offer to buy him out. Although they'll probably never hear back :)

We are also in a world where Amazon changed the game for ordering. We went from buying something and getting in roughly 7-10 days, and anything less feeling great, to literally getting things delivered with same day service. So not hearing something for a day or two isn't acceptable any longer.

I learned really quickly with shops revolved around Motorsports, time goes slower and to expect things later than I want. The really successful ones are those that respond within s day, the ok ones, within a week or the parts arrive quick enough, and the frustrating ones are the ones with the parts you need, can't get elsewhere, and you just have to wait to get.

Sorry to hear you're having issues.

What is not good is that the original owners were very much part of our community. Active on the forum, popped in and posted specials, etc. They were also extremely good at communication and customer service. As soon as there was a new owner, it all changed.

Yep, I only order from Finish Line when I can't get it elsewhere, due to the lack of communication and slow shipping. That said, I've been happy with their stuff and do always eventually receive it. This is not a new issue for them.

I ordered from them on the 23rd. Just got a notice that it shipped on the 6th.

I’m not defending their general lack of communication or way of doing business. I can honestly say i’ve never been disappointed with the items I’ve received or the time to ship. Anything that I have ordered has been high-quality and somethings I can’t find anywhere else. So, I order from them knowing I may not get my items for a couple of weeks or more, but I’m generally not in a rush so that isn’t as important to me. If I was into a build and needed those items to continue, I’d likely feel differently.

I would agree with you in most of the cases, but when you don't know if it's gonna come in a week or in 6 months, that's a problem. Knowing that they are this unreliable on timeframe certainly helps when going into it, but some of the delays are so long that it does interrupt the build process. The frustrating part is that they just don't seem to care.
I know....enough whining! That's great part of free capitalism - we can go elsewhere.
