Hey everyone!
I'm very excited to be joining the forum after years of dreaming of Cobras. It all started in the early '90s when the neighbor that lived behind my family's house owned a Shelby Cobra. I don't know if it was a kit, a reproduction, continuation, or a legitimate Cobra. I do know he did not build it. Since that time of seeing his metallic blue Cobra with white racing stripes and running to my back driveway every time he would start up, a Cobra has been my dream car. The closest I ever got it to was maybe 6 feet only to watch watch him drive away in a thunderous roar. To date, 6 feet is still as close as I've ever gotten to one and I have never driven or ridden in one. Still...the dream persists.
At this point in my life (and with the Corona Virus in full swing) it's time to start planning before we all turn to flesh eating zombies. I would say I am 12-18 months away from purchasing my FFR kit. I have mostly decided on the build specs and more importantly, colors. However, I still have a ton of questions. My brother-in-law and I are planning to go through the Roadster Build School in Michigan this year. Unfortunately, they're booked through June. I will have to keep my eye open for new classes as they get posted. I would also like to connect more with the members here and members that are local to the North Texas area (Dallas/Plano/Frisco/Mckinney/etc) whether that's on the forums or at a local meet.
Once again, very happy to be here to learn and meet some good people with a really awesome shared interest.
