Dear Fellow Coupe Builders,
Our last POL item is the headlight covers. FFR says they are having trouble finding a new vendor that can get them made correctly.
With that said, our coupe is 90% finished and going to charity auction on March 26, 2020.
We are looking for an honorable and fine outstanding builder that does NOT need their covers immediately to agree and swap for ours once they arrive.
We will pay shipping and other gifts of nominal value (t-shirt for our charity build).
Please and thank you.

Dino, we need them now as the auction is March 26th. We would need to trim and fit them. Then we are going to do some video production and photos of the car to hype up the charity auction.

Unfortunately, I too am familiar with this issue. The headlight covers were the second to last POL item on my kit, received many months after my kit was delivered. (Sidepipes were the last item.) I knew at the time they were having vendor and quality issues. The covers came with film on both sides, and since then need to be trimmed, I left the film in place until after trimming and fitting a few weeks ago. Pulled the film and found they are not good quality. Reasonably OK when looking straight on. But when looking from the side, you can see a bunch of pockmarks on the inside. Not smooth like it should be. RH side is worse than the LH side. I did some acrylic work many years ago in a different life/job, and I suspect this is a heat related issue when they were formed. Talked to Factory Five and they are going to replace mine. But still working to find a vendor who will deliver acceptable quality. Last I heard a few weeks ago they were waiting for samples. I say all this to (1) Give a little background to what's happening, and (2) Suggest that people take a look at the ones they have. Don't be like me and wait until you spend the time cutting and fitting to pull the film and see they're not up to par. Including these from Scottsdale. Hope it works out for the charity build.

Per Edwards advice. I took the protective film off of my headlight covers today and also bad. Not quite ready to install but it would surely been better to check before spending all the time to fit the opening.

I think we should arrange a swap. Something is better than nothing. How should we proceed? I don't want you to have to pay to ship these to us.
