Looking for a photo of custom "shorty" sidepipes

Awhile back, maybe 9-10 months ago, I happened across a photo of a roadster that had custom made side pipes that were significantly shorter. They were on a challenge car or purpose built drag car if I recall. They were a work of art and I'm trying to locate that photo as I am contemplating fabricating something similar.

Anybody recognize what I am looking for?

Original drag cobras had short side pipes and where often noted to be extremely loud. One thing you may want to look at before spending some of your hard earned money is to make sure the noise level won’t be an issue. The standard side pipes are often to loud for some people. I know my custom 3” core Gasn pipes just about need ear plugs for cursing around town, and if you do a pull with the car you’ll want them. Hearing loss with these cars is a real thing.

Nope, the one I saw were stainless fabricated and were not as short as those. They looked to be long enough to attach to the FFR mount, but turned out an inch or 2 after that.

If I recall, and my memory isn't the best, the thread I saw the pic in was a discussion around ankle burns while getting out of the car LOL. Truth.

I'm interested in the fabrication piece, which collectors & mufflers they had used.

"Turk" put a set of those on his FE powered car in 2002 at an early Double Venom Spring Fling (what is now known as the London Cobra show) then put it on the chassis dyno and wound it up to somewhere well north of 6,000! I'm pretty sure it was heard all the way to Columbus :eek:
