Hello all. I知 currently routing E-brake cables for the MKIV I知 building. I知 using a rear suspension and brakes from a 2019 Mustang. Just wondering if anyone has installed this set-up as the e brake cables are not exactly a bolt on application. I think I値l have to fabricate a bracket. Just want to check for ideas first. Thanks in advance for any help!

I assume you have IRS and Mustang brakes? this is a common set up so take a look at some of the build threads or try a Google search for info. This site will show up on a Google search. I did not do mine this way so I can't tell you how to do it but others have done it.

Thanks for the response. I contacted Factory Five several days ago, but as yet have not received a response. I am using the Mustang IRS from a 2019...diff, brakes, rotors...everything. I was able to find a complete dropout unit with only 14000 miles and seemed like a good deal. Problem is that evidently the E-brake cable set up has changed. I guess I should have stayed with a 2015 unit, but I thought 2015-19 were the same. (I’ll admit....I’m not a Ford Guy)
I hoped I could get some help from a Factory Five, but so far they don’t respond very well. I can figure it out......just wanted to see if anyone else has run in to this same issue. Thanks again!!

Are you emailing? Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Pick up the phone and call. Always the best method.

Actually I did call. They said they would refer to the tech guys and someone would call me back.

Did you get any info from them? This is on my list as well. I did a full 2015 pallet and will be using the calipers as well. I assumed I could use the factory cables but they are way too long. I am assuming we need either different cables or some sort of adapter for the ones FF sells.

Not sure if this helps you, but Lokar makes a universal "trim to fit" e-brake cable set that comes with two 8' outer housings and you cut them to whatever lengths you need.

Update. JohnK, your lokar recommendation made me look at the long cables that came with my IRS. Fortunately the ends thread off and the jacket can be shortened to fit. Of course I had to cut the ends off to get the cable out of the jacket but I'll just use the Lokar clevis as many others have.

can anyone find the Lokar LOK-S-8078 in stock?

It looks like Lokar sells them with their e-brake kits but not the connector itself anymore?
