Hi All,
I have access to a 1994 Thunderbird LX, 4.6L V8, IRS (3.27 gear). Other than the engine, does this car have any parts that I can salvage for a MKR base kit build? From what I've learned from this forum, some aspect of the IRS may be too wide.
Any truth to that?
Thanks!

You cannot use the IRS at all unless your kit is pre Mark 4.

I have a MKIV in which I installed a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII IRS, also with a 3.27 rear end. This is similar to what you are looking at. This is the old style IRS, no longer supported, in terms of the chassis, by FFR. Shortly after I purchased my kit in 2015 the switch was made to the 2015 Mustang IRS.

Thanks Joecobr! The build will be enough of a challenge for me without forcing a non-supported option. Thanks for the info!
