I just went to trial fit the pedal and cable.. and we get a 4' cable! What do you do with the extra 2'? the maximum distance from top of pedal assembly to my holley is 20" at most. Perhaps some motors have throttle on passenger side, I dunno. But I don't want to create a loop of throttle cable somewhere.

Presumably someone has found a suitable short cable? I may run up to the friendly autoparts and rummage our the back..

I don't know what cable you currently have. But pretty much any Lokar cable can easily be cut down to whatever you need.

Just remember to remove the cable from the sleeve and cut the sleeve with a Dremel or other high speed cut off wheel.
Then reinsert the cable to the sleeve and cut the cable using the same method.
It is just like cutting braided hoses, only a lot smaller.

You can cut down your existing cable and add a variety of different ends. Here's just one example: https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=8716

Summit Racing has a wide selection of cables or you can get cable made to order.

If you go to the local auto parts store get ready for the frustration of dealing with counter folks that don't have a clue. Vehicle year, make and model? Which transmission? What color wheel bearings? Hub caps or alloy wheels? Interior color?

Lokar also makes cables in 2, 3, 4 foot lengths ready to install. Whatever you choose to do, you can't go wrong with their products. The clevis for the pedal connection is way better than the set screw assembly that the FFR provided cable comes with.

If you only need a 2' cable, here is a link to one:

Ok, cool, thanks. I'll try cutting the FFR one down first, then look into these others as a backup.

Here's a $18 solution from Pirate Mfg (piratemfg.com)
The Lokar's are nice but expensive.

Peter, I shorten cables frequently here at work. I just measure the required length mark it and the wrap the cable with masking tape where I need to cut and use a high speed. Ace hardware sells all kinds and sizes of crimp on ends, I am sure you can find one that will work. Easy to install and I have never had one fail. Ray

At the end of The Louver Video I show the reattached healed pinkie.
The video the Doctor showed me was too gross to save.
I'm just glad that I can still count to 10.
