Seen a lot of talk about this issue and had the car on the lift today to fix the bent axle shaft. I figured I would take a few pics of the layout that worked for me. This is on an LS/ tko car. Driveshaft flange is about 5/8” above floor.
I have the rear coilover one position up from the manual and the top of the shock in the upper holes, furthest back on frame holes. Pictures are taken at full droop.
hope this helps

Sethmark,
Have you set ride height yet and if so, what did you set it at?
Thx,
Henry

I have. It’s sitting at about 5” to the frame. The car has been aligned and I drive it frequently.

Sethmark, I did exactly as you except I ended up moving my shock to the bottom hole. I did this to improve the ride, the lower hole relaxed the spring tension. I set my ride height to 6 front and 6.5 rear. My pinion angle is perfect. My driveshaft clearance is about a 1/4 of an inch with the suspension unloaded and 1/2 loaded. Ray

https://youtu.be/NGGlK2MLOjcRay,
The coil over springs that are included are non-progressive. Doesn’t matter how much you compress them, the spring rate remains the same.

Wow thanks for the education! Suspension is really not my strongest suit as you can tell. That's why we hired a really good suspension guy! I was kind of scared to change it because I thought it would affect the pinion angle drastically but it worked out fine. The LQ9 power is ridiculous don't you think? Thanks again Ray

I have to be honest with you. I love the motor. I can’t get enough of it. I find myself ripping around the neighborhood, just for the ****s and giggles of it. God for bid I get a license plate on this car before spring time. It’s not gonna be pretty.
Meanwhile, the suspension thing is a common misconception. It takes however many hundreds of pounds to compress the coil 1 inch. It takes exactly the same number of pounds to compress the coil another inch and so on. Therefore, the rate never changes.

The torque is ridiculous! I don't know what you did to yours as far as performance enhancements, but I did really nothing other than a Summit intake. I only did that because I didn't like the look of the plastic one. I did nothing with the tune other than turn off the unneeded stuff and it is so smooth and fast. It should be against the law to be so fun!

I did basically the same. Original computers with the automatic controls turned off, the vats turned off and the emissions turned off. Remember it’s a high compression motor and needs premium to run its best.

Sethmark, I was wondering how hot your engine runs? I retained the computer fan control and I have noticed that it seems to run about 180 Degrees (when moving) no matter what temperature I set the fan to come on (I think it is set to 200 now). When running without moving the temperature is about 200. Ray

I run 180 at speed as well. Fan kicks on at 194. It wont heat up much past that once the fan is on. I have run it in GA summers and it was fine.

Like the filler neck in your engine picture. Would you help me with the source?
Thanks, BC
