I'm looking for a decent brake flaring tool.

It's expensive, but probably one of the very best tools available for making flares:

It comes with the 45 degree turret and dies for brake lines, but they also offer a 37 degree turret and dies for fuel lines.

Here is a kit (same tool with a different name) that has both die sets included in one kit:

100% Agree with the above. I tried to be frugal and had a miserable time with the typical cheaper flaring tools until I caught the Eastwood one on sale. This is one thing to buy or borrow for your build. Or buy it and sell it when you’re done.

This one from Eastwood is also good. The handle comes off and the die can be put in a vise. Only $50.

I agree with the Eastwood tool. It made perfect flares. I have loaned it tho three other builders 2 loved it and the 3rd is about ready to use it.

Couldn't agree more on the Eastwood tool. Not cheap, but makes perfect flares and brakes aren't a place to cut corners. Worth every penny. I haven't loaned mine to anyone. Does that make me a bad person?

I agree with EdwardB. Eastwood flaring tool made perfect flares. Just practice a few times on some donor lines and make sure you use a proper tubing cutter. I tried to skimp and use a small pipe cutter I had laying around. I ended up spending a lot of wasted time redoing flares.
