Gas Cap through bed side?

Has anyone installed their gas cap through the bed side, instead of the bed floor?
Any problems doing it that way?

Take a look at Hawaii 35 Truck’s build, he has his gas filler on the side of the box.

I think bnelson did his in the tailgate. It’s your rig do it the way you want. I did mine in the bed cause I like the clean look outside on the quarters and tailgate.

Thanks for the responses. I know there will be gas spilled in the bed if I put the cap in there, no matter how careful I am. And I just wanted to make sure I'm not going to run into an unforeseen issue later.
