I'm using a set of Classic Instruments (7 gauges) and all require 12 v. The Ron Francis gauge loom has one gauge feed wire. I hooked up the Classic Instrument gauge lights using the dash light feed by linking the gauge connectors in series, as suggested in the RF manual for the Autometer gauges. However, I'm nervious about hooking up the gauge feeds also in series. What's the best thing to do?

What's your concern? Too much current draw? Gauge feed is a 10 amp circuit. No way your gauges approach that much draw.

Thanks. I'm a neophyte at circuits and cautious.

It's been a long time, but I'm pretty sure I daisy chained all my Classic Instrument gauges, with the exception of the Tach. I had read something about using a dedicated ground, and power source for it, to prevent inaccurate readings.

Thanks AC Bill. I went back to check on the Classic Instruments wiring and it's the speedo that requires a dedicated power source and ground. I'd wired a separate ground for it but hadn't realized about the power. That was a great heads up.
