Note that Raceline Digitals claim their stencils are not designed to "freshen up" the original markings on the Goodyears.

IE-"NOT SETUP TO COVER EXISTING TIRE LETTERING ON ORIGINAL / FACTORY TIRES"

That’s why I made my own.

They’re not hard to make.mimused heavy duty stock available at Staples or Office Depot. I did a few letters at a time to avoid ruining fresh paint. In all it took me 4 or 5 days to do all the tires

Good job! Did you choose a font and size, and then print them off from a computer?

I made them by hand with an Xacto blade. I trace the outline on paper with a pencil, then transfered them to card stock.

OK I, after a closer look, I now see the tires are actually Goodyear. That would certainly make it easier getting the size and font correct..lol
Why not just order the tires with the letters already painted from the factory?

They were. But they looked so bad I cleaned them off and re-stenciled them

What paint are you all using on your tires to create the billboards?

How long does it hold up?

I bought some flat white rattle can paint. It’s held up for 3+ years. Time for a refresher though

Ranger brand tire paint is recommended for the stencils. I'm not sure if it supposed to last longer, or not wash off after a time, but that might be worth a try.

Personally, I like the look of the faded patina that was often seen on the originals. I guess if it was flaking off, rather then just fading, it may not look so great.

How big are your tires and what is the size of your stencil? I would like to wallboard my tires but the stencils I have found seem kind of small at around 2 1/2 inches each. Your stencils look more like 3 to 3 1/2 inches. Is that correct? I have a Cobra with 15 inch tires - 235s up front and 295’s in the back.
