A little lost on how to finish up the door opening and/or if I am thinking correctly on how these sills work. How does the carpet edge get finished on the curve?

Any comments on finish to put on the sills.

Install your rear cockpit/waterfall cover. It seals up that area .

My bad. I would just trim it out with carpet. You can make a small aluminum part to fit the gap first.

I have lost a lot of sleep over this exact area on my car. Maybe in the end I should have used exactly what you have shown. I had a custom channel piece made and linex'd...made too soon in the process and didn't fit. I have thought about covering a vinyl, rubber, undercoating...at this point I had some pieces made in just the shape of an L out of mirrored stainless that will essentially replicate the center portion of what FFR sends with the kit. I still don't believe this is a long term fix as the finish will get scuffed and there is just not a lot of room between where the door rest and the outside of the jamb. Definitely don't like the idea of going up the radii on the ends though.

Sorry don't have pics of what I ended up doing as of yet.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Looks like we are on our own as this detail doesn't come with a plan. Now that I know I am not missing anything I can do like all others and come up with a fix, carpet to body edge transition.

JOP adding the Star detail looks great and these small custom pieces really add to a great build.
