I've raced there a bunch, but never done the training. Knowing how the staff is, I would suspect it is top notch though. Depending on your goals, I would look at NASA great lakes as a source of training also. Their HPDE program s by far the best in the country (in my opinion) and they are at Mid-Ohio several times a year. They will give you top notch instruction both on track, and in the class room.
This is not the normal track day philosophy of "Well, I don't think they will kill anyone, so let's sign them off" that so many other organizations use. They have a genuine focus of making you a safe, competent, and fast driver.

I've looked into the HPDE program, and have talked to the people that run it at Mid Ohio. They were very nice and even let me set in a class. It seamed very well done and structured to me. But I went away kinda deflated as the costs were so high. The individual sessions weren't to bad by them selves. But everything else piles up fast. I just don't have the $$$ for it, makes me sad. I do want to second what Todd said above though, the Mid Ohio event with the London Cobra Show, is a lot of fun! It's a low key event, the the instructors help at your skill level and my wife and I always have a good time and learn something more every year! I have over 2000 laps at Mid Ohio on the motorcycle. It's a great track and staff at Mid-O is great. I will caution you about cold or wet track surfaces there, it's slick. Now when there is heat in the track and dry conditions, the surface is great. I went to many Indy Car races there as a kid (and adult) and the first time I rode on the track I was grinning ear to ear knowing the history and people who have raced there.
I'm excited to do all the tracks I've experienced on the bike in a car in a few years ( and to continue on the bike as well). Hitting the keyhole and thunder alley is fantastic. So much fun there.

The training offered for the Ohio Cobra Club track day is "lead-follow" training, where an instructor in a lead car shows the proper line ... each car gets to follow the lead car for a lap so everyone gets a chance to see the proper line. The instructors gradually build up speed as the drivers begin to feel more comfortable on the track at speed. It's a great track and a really fun day.
