Rear end arrived Jan 5, 2020 added Lucas 85w-90 HD gear oil to fill hole with pinion angle set horizontal using a jack stand, ~2 quarts, will need to check fluid level after pinion angle is set on chassis, did not add friction modifier

Jan 7, installed Summit Racing® Aluminum Differential Vent SUM-E730301 to rear axle using Permatek thread sealer

Jan 15, delivery day, the wait is over! POL not too long but critical are the lower control arms, 3-link hardware, fuel tank cover, steering rack bushings

My cousin Terry from Wisconsin came for the weekend and we got a lot done, mounted the rear end, assembled rear brakes, fitted the F-panels, footboxes, and other visible panel, inspected all of the parts, and finished the inventory

Jan 20, panels removed and off to powder coat along with a big box of hinges, brackets, etc, panels will get a silver powdercoat, other parts will be black matching the frame

Jan 30, panels back from PC, first rivets in on the F-panels, feels good

Need to add posts to boost my numbers so I can post pictures. So I will give a shout out to all of the aftermarket vendors that I have ordered from so far (Breeze, Forte, Russ's garage), super helpful and prompt deliveries

Good luck on the build. Where did you get your engine? What type of Transmission?

Have not yet decided on the engine or trans yet, need to sell my '08 GT500 when Spring arrives to fund that portion of the build

Lower control arms just arrived from my POL so I was excited to bolt them on. Passenger side slid right on. Driver side is another story. The space between the bracket is 5/16" narrower than it was on the passenger side. The brackets seems to be welded square to the frame, I have seen the threaded bolt trick posts to spread the bracket apart but 5/16" seems like a long way to go and would throw things out of square. Is that still the solution? If so is there any way to ensure that both sides of the bracket spread evenly? Thanks for the input.

Curious why you didn't add the friction modifier at the same time you added new gear oil?
Better tape a note on to the rear end, or months from now, when the car is built you may forget about it.
