Does the Moser rear end sold by factory five have Traction-LOK/Limited slip? If not, for those who have the Moser rear end, how do you like it? Looking to put an SBC 383/700R4 in a 33 and wondering if the Moser from FFR is the way to go.
Thanks,
Sean

Built 4 kits with the FFR supplied Moser. Great unit. Very pleased with it.

I went with Moser for my rear; however, it wasn't the 8.8.
They built a Dana 44 with an Eaton True Trac and I find it works very well.
The True Trac differentiates smoothly much like a Torsen so it really puts the power down evenly.

The reason I did the Dana 44 was because I wanted to be different because everyone seems to run the 8.8.
They even set the thing up to accept Ford Explorer Brakes which use a Top Hat Rotors with internal shoe style parking brakes.
I think you'll be happy with a Moser 8.8 no matter what posi system you have them install in it.

I went with a Moser as well, but in the 9 inch flavor. The quality seems great, I'm happy with it.
Get the Moser 88 (their version of a Ford 8.8) and get the Detroit Truetrac in 31-spline axles. Have them build the axle with Torino style bearings and eliminate the c-clips. That's a bullet proof combination and will hold up under any reasonable future mods you might make. I used the Trutrac for the first drag racing season and it stood up to my combination's torque loads and launched straight every time. The Truetrac works seamlessly on the street, runs quiet and doesn't require any special lubrication.
